Romanian Doina Festival 2013

Enjoy excerpts from a special broadcast on the Romanian Doina Festival 2013 in Auckland - Organized by Adina Giurgiu. The show includes interviews with George Smarandache, author of the play Magura and its main actor, Claudiu Bleonţ. Magura is a cultural Romantic Comedy, written in a style that allows for its re-enactment by actors and amateurs alike! One of the most memorable parts of the Doina Festival 2013 was the Magura re-enactment by members of the Auckland Romanian Community. Claudiu Bleonţ is a Romanian film and theatre actor, television celebrity and comedian. One of his most well-known theatre performances is as Romeo in a production of Shakespeares 'Romeo and Juliet' with the balcony scene replaced by a bathtub.
